Genesis Wheatgrass Soil
This is the blend we use in our commercial greenhouses to grow Genesis Wheatgrass. We start with compost, the basis to any organic program, pecan shells for aeration (also a root growth stimulator), and lava sand, high in Paramagnetism holding moisture and nutrients. We then add Soft Rock Phosphate, Greensand, Kelp, Alfalfa Meal, Dried Molasses, Feathermeal and Worm Castings. Soft Rock Phosphate is a natural form of phosphorus, calcium, and trace minerals. Greensand is a natural form of potash and trace minerals. Kelp is a natural source of copper, boron, iodine, zinc, trace minerals and plant hormones. Alfalfa Meal provides vitamins, N-P-K-Ca, Mg and other minerals. Dried Molasses is used to feed the soil microorganisms. It also provides sulfur, potash, and trace minerals. Feathermeal is our source of nitrogen. Worm Castings (the plow horse of nature) is a natural source of calcium, iron, magnesium, sulfur, N-P-K and 60 trace minerals.
Why the soil needs supplements
We obtain the minerals we need from our food chain. Mostly from plants we eat. Plants literally create vitamins and amino acids in their tissues via photosynthesis. Plants cannot create minerals. They can only gather minerals colloidally from the soil. In nature, plants grow taking up these minerals from the soil passing the minerals to the foliage and fruit. Farmers grow plants that take minerals from the soil You could say the farmers is also a miner of the soil. The farmer removes the crops from the land before the minerals can be replaced in the soil. Year after year the soil is depleted. Minerals must be replaced from the outside. Different crops remove different amounts of minerals. Bananas which are known to be high in potassium, remove high amounts of it. This potassium must be replaced. Corn depletes high levels of maganese. When the mineral content of the soil is poor, it yields crops that are deficient in nutrients. Organic crops can be certified organic, but still be deficient in minerals.
Genesis Wheatgrass is grown in highly mineralized soil. Not just compost or peat moss as many commercial growers do. Highly mineralized soil creates sweet wheatgrass. Minerals give fruit and vegetables their sweetness. The strain of seed used will also determine the sweetness of the produce or the wheatgrass.
Once at a seminar on nutrition that we attended, the speaker, speaking about deficient soil, made these remarks. “We are told to eat a lot of vegetables. So, you go to the supermarket and purchase your veggies and take them home to eat. When you get there, you throw away the paper sack and eat your vegetables. In truth, if you are concerned about your health and minerals, throw away the vegetables and eat the paper sack. The tree the paper sack was made from, had deep roots that brought back minerals from deep within the earth. Whereas the veggies were grown in the top 6-8 inches of soil that has been depleted of minerals. Even though you purchased organic grown veggies they can still be deficient in minerals and still meet the organic standards.
Alfalfa is known for its high minerals content because of its long, long roots that go 10-30 feet deep. These deep roots are one of the reasons we use alfalfa meal in our organic program. We use these supplements in our home garden and in our Genesis Wheatgrass Soil.

Testimonial:
I've been growing wheatgrass for over 15 years for my family and myself. I've used many different soils over the years, with varying results, but nothing outshines the Genesis Wheatgrass Soil. Since I have been using it, my wheatgrass has been greener, thicker, stronger, and overall a much higher quality crop than ever before.
In adition to being a great soil for growing wheatgrass, it's so easy too because all the nutrients for growing rich wheatgras is already in the soil; you don't need to add anything to it.
It all starts with good soil, and this soil can make anyone a wheatgrass growing pro in no time! I'll never switch!
